VICE PRESIDENT

Dr. Molly Thelisdort is a Naturopathic Physician and Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) who holds a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM). She holds a license to practice Naturopathic medicine in Oregon. She joined the FNPA Board to help advance legitimacy and licensure efforts for Naturopathic Doctors (ND's) in the state of Florida, so that others may have the same access to holistic, naturopathic care that she wishes for herself and her family. Dr. Molly is currently seeing clients at Winthrop Natural Medicine in Riverview, Florida, just outside of Tampa.

IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT

Dr. Judith Thompson is an international consultant on Naturopathic Medicine with articles published in medical journals and international nutraceutical company blogs. She has been a featured writer and co-author in numerous books. She is the Chair of the Special Projects Committee and the Immediate Past President of the Florida Naturopathic Physicians Association and served as the Florida representative for the House of Delegates of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She has presented to legislators in the Florida State congress and in Washington, D.C. Dr. Thompson has lectured in osteopathic, naturopathic, pharmacy and physical therapy schools in the U.S and abroad. She is the past Executive Director of the Naturopathic Medicine Institute. She has been teaching at Everglades University since 2007.

SPECIAL ADVISOR TO THE BOARD 

David J. Schleich, PhD is the former president and CEO of National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM), former president of Truestar Health, and former CEO and president of Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), where he served from 1996 to 2003. Previous posts have included appointments as vice president academic of Niagara College, and administrative and teaching positions at St. Lawrence College, Swinburne University (Australia) and the University of Alberta. His academic credentials have been earned from the University of Western Ontario (BA), the University of Alberta (MA), Queen’s University (BEd), and the University of Toronto (PhD).

TREASURER

Dr. Marney Johnson earned the degree of Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) and completed a Residency in Naturopathic Medicine. She holds a license as a Naturopathic Physician in Oregon. Dr. Johnson has a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation and Translational Science from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (now UT Health). She is a professor of alternative medicine and, in 2022, she opened Natural Path to Wellness where she utilizes her naturopathic education and research skills to specialize in autoimmunity and rare and orphan diseases.

MEMBERSHIP CHAIR

Dr. Ramona Shires, a long-time resident of Pensacola, specializes in using holistic principles and modalities to help her clients restore their health. Dr. Shires earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine at National University of Health Sciences, a 4-year full-time in-residence accredited naturopathic medical school. She is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in the State of Vermont and a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in Florida. Dr. Shires is also an Associate Pranic Healer, Certified Hypnotist and Professional Educator.

EVENTS COMMITTEE CHAIR

Dr. Mitchell Kershner is a Naturopathic Physician with over 37 years of experience in holistic health care. His multidisciplinary background includes certifications in nutrition, personal fitness training, and massage therapy, along with a Doctorate from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon (1996). Dr. Kershner has held private practice, served as adjunct faculty teaching Clinical Nutrition and Physiology, earned a Culinary Arts diploma, and completed a Certified Life Coaching program. He is passionate about empowering individuals, families, and communities to transform diet and lifestyle to prevent and reverse today's most common health challenges. Dr. Kershner is a Vitalistic Naturopath which indicates a strong reliance on the core principle: *Vis Medicatrix Naturae* (With the Healing Power of Nature).
